How to Root Galaxy S3 I9305 on Android 4.2.1 XXBMB2 Jelly Bean Firmware

If you own a Samsung Galaxy S3 I9305 and running update 4.2.1 XXBMB2 Jelly Bean Firmware you can now root your device using ODIN. You will need to download the software to complete the root. Getting this root will give lots of nice features like wi-fi tethering, better performance and so on.

Warning: by choosing to root your Android device you take all responsibility. So flash and root at your own risk. Flashing your device does make your warranty void but you can get it back by updating back to stock. You can not hold me responsible for anything that happens to your device.

  Before Starting:
Before starting you need to back up all data. You must have at least 80% battery for this flash. Only try this if you have a Samsung S3 I9305 on Android 4.2.1 XXBMB2 Jelly Bean Firmware as it will probably not work for others. Make sure you enable USB debugging.

 Instructions:

1. Download and Extract CF auto root for firmware I9305XXBMB2 here

2. Download and Extract ODIN flashing tool and run it. (LINK)

3. Boot your Galaxy S3 to Download mode to do this press and hold volume down and home buttons while tapping on the power button until a warning message appears on the screen press Volume up to enter download mode.

4. Connect your phone to computer via usb cable.

5. ODIN will now connect to your S3.

6. In ODIN go in to options and check auto reboot and f and reset time.

7. Click on PDA and find that file you've downloaded earlier called CF auto root. Verify that you got the right options.

8. Click the start button and your root will start it might take a few minutes so bear with it, don't interrupt.

Congratulations now you have a rooted device that has lots more features!
